Intersections Cosmos 2023-Present
In her recent Intersections Cosmos series, Arlene Slavin returns to the triangular and diamond geometric grids of her earliest work to reflect on humanity’s place in the universe.
Using the grid as a framework for scientific discovery and experimentation, these canvases combine simplified geometric lines with energetic paint splatters that evoke planets and galaxies. The resulting compositions invite the viewer into an unencumbered, deep-space environment.
